It does not replace COBRA or any other medical insurance program, nor is it a Medicare Part D prescription drug plan. Cardholders are responsible for paying the discounted cost at the time of service from participating providers. What if I have insurance?

Anyone can use the card, but it cannot be combined with insurance. You can use the Everest Prescription Savings Card if:

• A prescribed medication is not covered by your insurance plan
• Your insurance has no drug coverage
• Your insurance has a high deductible and the prescription cost is
  “Out-of-Pocket”
• You have exceeded the maximum prescription drug benefit on your insurance plan
• The savings card offers a better price than your prescription drug
  co-pay under insurance
• You are in the Medicare Part D “donut hole”

How does this valuable card work?

When the prescription savings card information is entered into the pharmacy’s computer system, the price of the prescription is reduced based on the pharmacy’s agreement with the pharmacy network. This type of cutting-edge technology allows for a seamless transaction process.
